English - ESL

The first step to success in college is to develop good English language skills. Through the English as a Second Language (ESL) program at the Madera Center, students develop reading, writing, and oral skills in English that will make their college experience more successful. The ESL program enables students to make progress in college and at work.

Madera Center ESL students learn to speak, read, and write in English at a proficient level.
The ESL program offers students:

  • Learning & communication strategies
  • Optional courses to improve oral skills
  • Computer assisted language learning

Come and become one of the many Madera Center students who have benefited from ESL instruction. Whatever your interest, a better understanding of English will help you to reach your vocational, academic, and personal goals. The Madera Center offers much more than just basic education. You will begin in an ESL class geared to your own level, and while you’re improving your English, you may be able to enroll in other courses that meet your educational interests and goals.
