North Centers - 2009-10 Goals

  1. Accreditation – continue to work on the process of receiving full campus status and initial accreditation for Clovis Community College. (NC Strategic Plan Goal #6)
  2. Program Review – work closely with Reedley College in the program review process with an emphasis on the continued development and assessment of student learning outcomes at the course, program, and institutional levels. (NC Strategic Plan Goal #1)
  3. Planning – formalize the planning, collaborative decision-making, and continual improvement processes utilizing the College Center Council committee. (NC Strategic Plan Goal #3)
  4. Career Technical Programs – utilizing the data gained from the Educational Master Plan, develop plans for future Career Technical programs and facilities as well as partnerships with local educational agencies and the community. (NC Strategic Plan Goal #5)
  5. High School Partnerships – increase concurrent enrollments of high school students through the new North Centers College Advantage Program (NCCAP) at the Oakhurst Center, Madera Center College Advantage Program (MCCAP), and Clovis North/Willow International Center program scheduled for implementation in 2010-2011. (NC Strategic Plan Goal #5)
  6. Facilities – provide oversight on the completion of the Center for Advanced Manufacturing at the Madera Center (fall 2009), classrooms at the Oakhurst Center (fall 2009), and the Academic Center Two facility at the Willow International Center (fall 2010). (NC Strategic Plan Goal #3)
  7. Student Access and Success – implement the Enrollment Management and Basic Skills/Student Success Initiative Plans with an emphasis on increased enrollments and higher student success and retention. (NC Strategic Plan Goals #1, 2, 4)
  8. Student Support Services – expand involvement in student government, Transfer/Career Centers, Honors Programs, and the Extended Learning Tutorial Centers. (NC Strategic Plan Goals #1,2)
  9. Grants – pursue additional grants in order to develop new programs and expand services for the North Centers students. (NC Strategic Plan Goal #3)
  10. Technology –implement new technology initiatives that will support distance learning classes, Blackboard utilization, online student support services, and communications among the centers and colleges. (NC Strategic Plan Goals # 1, 2, 4)
  11. Fiscal Oversight – monitor and manage the North Centers’ budget in a responsible and timely manner. (NC Strategic Plan Goal #3)
  12. Diversity – continue to increase the awareness, importance, and commitment to the recruitment and retention of a diverse workforce. (NC Strategic Plan Goal #2)
