Business Services Office Holds

Students with a hold will not be able to

A business office hold may result from non-payment of any fees.

A Business Services Office hold may result from non-payment of any fees. Students with a business office hold will not be able to register for classes in this term or future terms until the balance is paid in full. A hold will also prevent students from receiving grades, transcripts, verifications, certificates or diplomas. Access transcripts in WebAdvisor or phone registration will also be denied until the business office hold has been removed.

Students with a hold should contact the business office for hold details at (559) 638-0342. Business holds can be cleared through payment at the business office, please refer to Making Fee Payments. Unresolved business office holds may be sent to collections.

State Center Community College District has contracted with a collection agency to facilitate the collection of fees. Feesthat are older than 30 days and do have have an active payment plan, may be sent to collections. 

These monetary holds will be submitted annually to the Chancellor's Office Tax Offset Program (COTOP) which can affect your tax refunds. There is no statute of limitations for the length of time the account can be submitted to the COTOP program.

Other holds may also prevent registration. The chart below lists the different types of registration holds and where these holds may be resolved. All holds must be cleared prior to registration.
