Farmer working in farm

College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP)

About our Program

The College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) is a federally funded program designed to assist students from migrant and seasonal farm working backgrounds in achieving success at Madera Community College. CAMP helps students transition from high school to college by providing first-year support services that aid in the development of skills necessary to persist and graduate from college.

CAMP strives to create a family environment that fosters a sense of belonging for its students. A unique aspect of CAMP is the partnership formed between the student, parents, and CAMP staff, where all parties work together to achieve the student's goals and objectives to complete their college education.

The College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) at Madera Community College empowers and transforms the lives of students from migrant or seasonal farmworker families through access to higher education.  CAMP provides quality services for academic, personal, and financial success to improve the lives of students.
