Ribbon Cutting for the Cat!

MCCC Ribbon CuttingHistory was made January 9, with the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the brand new Center for Agriculture and Technology. This is the first completed project using funds from Measure C. Cost of the ten-thousand square foot building is $6.35 million dollars. Among the guest speakers at the ceremony included Chancellor Dr. Paul Parnell, President Angel Reyna, Maintenance Mechanic Instructor Erik Hansen, and Plant Science Student Joana Sanders. ABC 30, GV Wire and the Madera Tribune provided excellent media coverage of the ceremony. The facility is expected to officially open for students to use sometime this semester. Timeline of the CAT Building (groundbreaking to ribbon cutting) was 465 days (1 year, 3 months and 8 days).
